9 Full-time 3 hours ago Full Job Description The Compliance Manager reviews Special Education documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable state and federal rules, statutes and regulations that apply to a student receiving specifically designed educational services.
This position may be specific to one or more areas of compliance, but requires full knowledge of all applicable state and federal rules, statutes and regulations as well as relevant timelines and procedural protocols.
Essential Functions:
Conducts bi-weekly meetings with members of the compliance team (teachers, service providers, counselors, etc.
) Maintains/assists in maintaining compliance charts Assists in timelines and assignment of case managers for newly identified students Assist in Special Education for Early Developmental Success (SEEDS)/ Early Intervention (EI) process Assists with filing and record keeping Assists with emailing Evaluation Reports (ER) and Re-evaluation Reports (RR) during child count terms Approves and finalizes paperwork Communicates with CEO or other supervisors and other supervisors to address concerns/questions as requested Receives and approves all Individual Education Plans (IEP) inclusive of Positive Behavior Support Program (PBSP) prior to IEP meetings Answers questions pertaining to the initial and annual IEP process Monitors monthly any annual reviews that are in process Communicates with teachers relative to their caseload Trains new teachers and provides on-going supports for SPED paperwork Assists with IEP writing and provides support for new teachers Receives, reviews, and approves Permission to Evaluate (PTE)/Permission to Re-evaluate (PTR) and provides feedback Receives, reviews, and approves all ERs/RRs with additional testing Receives, reviews, and approves all RRs and provides important feedback to the members of the team Assigns evaluations to psychologists and related services when assigned to PTE/Rs received Adds new students to IEP Writer when referrals are received Manages/updates PTE spreadsheets Works closely with other Compliance Managers to insure all compliance dates are being met Works closely with Directors to assist with Instructional Support Team (IST) Referrals Trains new teachers and provides ongoing support with Special Education paperwork and compliance Answers questions pertaining to the evaluation and reevaluation process and timelines Display high-level professional conduct and image at all times; establishes and maintains an acceptable attendance record; and participates in extra-curricular activities and/or leadership roles outside the classroom Perform other related duties as assigned Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from an accredited college or university.
Pennsylvania Criminal Record Check Clearance Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance FBI Criminal Background Clearance Certificates/Licenses:
Valid Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Instructional Certificate in Special Education Demonstrated Knowledge of:
The principles, practices and methods of Special Education for grade level education The contents, materials, methodologies and practices utilized within Special Education at the respective grade level All relevant Pennsylvania and Federal rules, statutes and regulations governing Special Education IEP software programs and related tools Interstate Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (InTASC) standards Response to Interventions (RTII) Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Demonstrated Ability to:
Assess students' needs and learning styles and to design appropriate differentiated instruction to meet their learning difference needs Use and apply simulations and technological innovations in the classroom in pursuit of instructional strategies designed to assist students with special needs Apply critical thinking methodologies designed to assist students with learning differences Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, administrators, support staff, parents and students Note:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
